Turin – Granfondo Internazionale Briko Turin, impossible to miss. Next Sunday in the first capital of Italy the ninth edition of the event organized by Vittorio Mevio will be held, valid as the second round of the Gran Trofeo Gs Alpi and fifth of the Zero Wind Show circuit.
The Granfondo will be held on a single route of 111 kilometers and 2123 meters of altitude difference. Departure from Corso Casale, at 8:00, in front of the Motovelodromo of Turin and arrival in front of the extraordinary Basilica of Superga, after crossing Castelnuovo Don Bosco, a town known above all for being the birthplace of San Giovanni Bosco, in the Becchi district (now Colle Don Bosco), where today there is a sanctuary dedicated to the saint that is the destination of numerous pilgrims.
The arrival in front of the Basilica of Superga is a unique postcard that only this event can offer to fans of the world of Master two-wheelers.
Furthermore, over the weekend, those who love to travel will be able to visit the Egyptian Museum, Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Madama, Museo dell’Automobile, Parco del Valentino and Borgo Medievale, Basilica di Superga, Palazzina di caccia a Stupinigi, Chiesa della Gran Madre, Villa della Regina, the Mole and the Museo del Cinema in Turin.
The Briko-branded commemorative jersey. Participants in the Turin event will find in their race pack the splendid commemorative jersey made by the Briko company, title sponsor of the event, which cycling enthusiasts have chosen by participating in a contest held on Briko’s social networks and voting at the Granfondo Internazionale Laigueglia. It is mandatory for all participants to wear the event jersey.
Free photos for participants. Briko, a well-known Turin brand that produces personalized clothing for skiing and cycling, helmets, glasses and other accessories, will give participants photos of the event through the Getpica platform.
Finisher medal made of recycled wood. After finishing their race in front of the majestic Basilica of Superga, participants will receive a splendid wooden finisher medal made of sustainable wood by the company IFellWood personalized with the splendid photo of the Basilica.
The challenge within the challenge. The top twenty men and the top ten women in the women’s ranking of the Granfondo Internazionale Briko Torino, before the final awards ceremony, will compete in a time trial over several laps of the lower part of the Motovelodromo track that was the finish line of some stages of the Giro d’Italia and the Milan-Turin, races that saw champions of the caliber of Bartali and Coppi whizz by. The winners of the individual time trial, both men and women, will then be crowned King and Queen of the Motovelodromo 2024.
The tribute to the Grande Torino. At 4:00 pm, all those who want to participate in the ceremony will gather in the square in front of the Basilica of Superga, to then reach the plaque together.
