The cycling race that unites sport, solidarity and history returns on Sunday 11 May

Turin is preparing to host, on Sunday 11 May 2025, the tenth edition of the Granfondo Internazionale Briko Torino – Memorial Luca Ferrero, the only mass cycling event that takes place in the heart of a large metropolitan city. Organized by GS Alpi, with the support of Briko, main sponsor and active protagonist in promoting a green and participatory vision of sport, the event represents a perfect balance between competition, culture and solidarity.

Starting and finishing from the legendary Motovelodromo “Fausto Coppi”, the race takes place on a 115.7 km route with a difference in altitude of 2129 meters, crossing the symbolic places of the first capital of Italy. Participants will receive a commemorative jersey to wear during the race and a finisher medal made of recycled material, demonstrating their commitment to sustainability.

The Granfondo 2025 will also be a race of the heart. In memory of Luca Ferrero, an esteemed veterinarian and great cycling enthusiast, who passed away prematurely, a solidarity registration fee has been activated. By choosing the “Luca Ferrero Memorial bib”, participants will make a donation to Cottolengo – Piccola Casa della Divina Provvidenza and will have the right to start from the honor grid, in the front row.

The event will start on Saturday 10 May with the collection of race packs at the Motovelodromo. During the day, the GS Alpi tribute to the Grande Torino is also planned, with the laying of a wreath at Superga. On Sunday 11, the start will be at 8:30 from Corso Casale, with the arrival in via dei Colli – Panoramica, along a route that also anticipates part of the route of the Vuelta a España, which this year will start from Turin.

To close the event, the eagerly awaited final time trial at the Motovelodromo, reserved for the best 20 men and 10 women in the overall ranking, which will elect the King and Queen of the Motovelodromo, followed by the traditional pasta party and the awards ceremony.
