The Granfondo Torino 2026 has been struck by a tragedy we never wanted to report. During the event, two athletes suffered severe medical emergencies. Despite the prompt response of emergency services and extensive resuscitation efforts by medical personnel on site and during emergency transport, one of the two participants could not be saved.

As a sign of deep respect and sorrow for this tragic loss, GS Alpi announces the immediate suspension of all celebratory activities. In this moment of immense grief, the sporting aspect loses all relevance.

The entire organization extends a heartfelt embrace to the victim’s family and awaits, with great anxiety, updates on the condition of the second athlete involved, who is currently hospitalized in intensive care.
